TL;DRAbstract

In the graduation thesis we analyze inter-municipal daily commuting in Slovenia over a period of
\n13-years between 2000 and 2012. In this manner we analyzed separately for an origin and separately for
\na destination the total amount of kilometres travelled along the shortest route and the total time of daily
\ncommuting along the fastest road connection by car. The analysis of the trend of total mileage and total
\ntravel times in an origin and in a destination was carried out for 192 municipalities at the beginning of
\nthe research period (year 2000). Less likely occurring daily commuting with distances of over 140
\nkilometres in one direction were excluded from the analysis. In the review of literature in the graduation
\nthesis is firstly described the history of the construction of Slovenian motorways and the use of cars,
\nwhich can consequently be the reason for increased daily commuting. This is followed by a description
