TL;DRAbstract
The central theme of the research was the place of the male body/identity in children education/health. In broad terms, its aim was to analyze the singularities of the encounter with the male body during professional care in education and in the promotion of child health. The specific goals were: to problematize the importance of elementary school professionals in relation to the “male body/identity” as a development factor of the boy or girl´s identity; to analyze the postural and gestural schemes that reveal the tonic-emotional dialogues between male and infant bodies; to identify the limits and potentialities of men in childhood care. A “case study” qualitative methodology was used, involving three schools, two of them located in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and one in Nilopolis (RJ).
