A leader has a lot of ways of motivating others especially those who work under his supervision to meet his objectives or to accomplish a task or to overcome the problems or challenges he is facing. One of the main charactheristics must be owned by a leader is a capability of motivating others or his staff to meet his objective or the mission of his organization. The ability of a leader to motivate his team member or staff is much influenced by his emotional intelligence (EI). The purpose of this analytical survey study is to analyze the influence of leader’s emotional intelligence on work motivation of the nurses serving in Bangkatan Hospital Binjai and all of them were selected through the total sampling technique as the samples for this study. The data needed were obtained through distributing questionnaires to the nurses and the data obtained were analyzed using multiple regrestion test.
