TL;DRAbstract

The acute ulcerations in the upper digestive tract are responsible for massive bleeding. The mortality is high and relapses are frequent after surgery. The systematic use of endoscopy in emergency allows a precise localization of the lesion and a treatment in the same session. These lesions seem to be excellent indications for coagulation technics. The laser which avoids a direct contact with the ulceration and gives a deep coagulation is preferred to electrocoagulation.
