Abstract : This report presents the results of cultural resources investigations within the Comite River Diversion Project New Orleans District. Phase I cultural resources survey of approximately 60 ac (24.2 ha) not included in the previous survey;, National Register eligibility testing at Sites 16EBR105 and 16EBR117;. delineate an unmarked cemetery depicted on the USGS quadrangle: conduct intensive testing of the project corridor associated with Civil War activities, including previously recorded Site 16EBR115; conduct additional research and documentation of the dairy industry in the project area to determine the National Register eligibility of the early twentieth century Bourque and Camey dairy complexes After discussion with the contracting officer, investigations also were conducted at the previously recorded Site 16EBR118. This site had been recommended for additional investigation (Ryan et al. 1994), and was thought to be associated with the Penny Plantation site (16EBR117). po
