The bachelor thesis deals with the activities of Recruit Centres and Personnel Selection Centres related to the work with expectants. Further, it deals with the problems of the living standard of professional soldiers and their families both from the viewpoint of their civilian life and from the viewpoint of their military life. Its aim is to describe the activities of service bodies, the mission of which is the selection of new professional soldiers and to map out the situation in which soldiers and their families occur. The thesis contains three principal parts. The first and second part describes and explains the activities of the above-mentioned organizations dealing with the recruitment of professional soldiers. In the third part life conditions of professional soldiers and their families are evaluated.
