TL;DRAbstract

The infrared spectra of dilute solutions of $CHD_{3}$ in $CH_{4}$ and $CD_{4}$ have been obtained with our high resolution spectrometer; the spectral slit widths under the experimental conditions were of the order of 0.03 to $0.05 cm^{-1}$. The widths of the various bands of a particular sample vary within the range of 0.1 to $0.5 cm^{-1}$. On one occasion we have found bands with a half-width smaller than $0.07 cm^{-1}$. The orientation effects will be discussed.
