Analise Comparativa de metodologias para espaçamento entre terraços

TL;DRAbstract

Terracing is one of the most important practices to control erosion, Its viability depends upon an adequately planned project, since its construction cost can reach a significant fraction of the overall agricultural production cost. Space between terraces and chana! dimensions are among project parameters of terraces to be determined. Chana! dimensions are limiting terrace project parameters, because they establish the flow retention capability through its length -the longer the length, the less expensive the project implementation. In the present work we have attempted to verifY the possibility of applying the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) to determine the space between terraces. This Equation takes into account factors that have not been previously considered, such as, for example, the rain factor. The results were compared to those obtained for LOMBARDI The methods were determined according soil groups established by LOMBARDI NETO et aL (1994) and they had there spacemen! limi
