GIS-basierte Analyse der känozoischen Geodynamik und Mineralisationsgeschichte der östlichen Syntaxis des Himalaya (NW-Yunnan/ VR China)

Bianca Wagner-2004-01-01

TL;DRAbstract

Analyses of Cenozoic geological evolution of NW Yunnan (PR China) are presented in this thesis. While other papers focus either exclusively on Tertiary or Quaternary history of this area, attention is directed on the sedimentary, magmatic and tectonic processes and their temporal changes from the early Paloaeogene to Holocene.Derivation of recent tectonics bases on the lineament interpretation of LANDSAT-TM-images. Additionally, particular Tertiary and Quaternary stress fields and their transitions are reconstructed by means of gathered geological data of the working area. Data processing was implemented with the ArcView Software resulting in a Geographic Information System (GIS), in which all utilized information is stored with their geographic position. This "collection of maps with integrated data bank" is available for further editing or extension in ongoing projects.Several geotectonic intervals and phases of increased mineralization due to the India-Asia-Collision are delimited.
