TL;DRAbstract

Since long the ICT goods and services sector has been recognised as an important driver of productivity growth and job creation in Europe. Therefore it is essential for European Industrial Policy to find efficient ways to preserve and enlarge the competitiveness of the European ICT sector. This book gives an overview of relevant national and regional policies and assesses their design and performance, with a view to identifying good government practices, which could inspire further successful policies in this area - especially in the light of the enlargement of the European Union.
