\nCharacteristics of gypsum mortar applied on pine
\nbeams, boards and blockboard, have been determined.
\nThe esparto (=needlegrass) fibre provides a framework
\nfor the gypsum mortar to ensure adhesion and forming
\nthe surface of the dome. Physical-mechanical
\nproperties of the burnt clay-lightened gypsum mortars
\nwere determined with laboratory tests, while the
\ncomposition of these materials was found with
\nXRD,SEM and IR.
