TL;DRAbstract

The problem in this study was to determine the differences of STAD cooperative learning methods compared with PBI type of cooperative learning methods in the social studies achievement.  The method used is quasi experiment by giving all treatments on two different classes. Analysis of the data is using a variant of the two lines with factorial design and analysis of effectiveness. The results of the study showed that there is no difference in social studies outcome between the STAD cooperative learning methods with PBI-type method on students, and there is interaction between the learning methods used on the level of achievement motivation of students towards learning outcomes. There is interaction between learning method to the learning outcomes, when considered in the third line is not parallel but intersect the blue line and the green line or cut brown line which states that there is an interaction between the three can be said to be significant.
