TL;DRAbstract

The presence of an important fossiliferous site of Myotragus associated with a sandy and silty sedimentary infilling in the Tragus gallery at the innermost part of the gova des Pas de Vallgornera, has led to the description and analysis of the sedimentary sequence that includes the paleontological remains. This sequence includes a sandy basement interpreted as to have an eolian origin, which would imply a clear opening of the cave at the time of his deposition. These sands are covered by decantation clay and silts deposited by runoff. The set indicates the transition from cold and arid climate conditions to an episode more humid and warmer, in a chronological context corresponding presumably to early Pleistocene.
